Taster Day

Get a taste of what real life salon dog grooming is all about. Our taster day is a really great way to see if a career in dog grooming is for you before committing to one of courses.
You can either bring your own dog (if they are a breed that requires grooming) or borrow one of ours!
We will show you how to bath & prep a dog properly, basic grooming techniques such as drying, brushing, clipping and scissor work
iPET Network Level 3 Award in Introduction to Dog Grooming
Duration: 5 Days
Cost: £1300
Times: Monday – Thursday and Saturday 9:30am – 3:30pm

An ideal course to get a feel for dog grooming. Over 5 days you will learn the basics of dog grooming. You will complete 5 grooms on 3 different coat types alongside some theory work and a final assessment. You do not need any prior experience to start this course, just a love for dogs and a passion to learn a lifelong skill!

This course is ideal for those wanting to build a solid foundation in their dog grooming ability and gain experience.
A fantastic course to really get hands on with practical training from the start! This option can be more budget friendly whilst still learning the necessary skills to start a career in dog grooming.
Working alongside our tutor you will get hands on with a minimum of 10 dogs of 4 different coat types. No experience required for this course you can start as a complete beginner!
To gain more knowledge, we recommend completing our Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management.

About this Course
Our most in depth course to gain maximum knowledge in dog grooming and salon management! You will gain more knowledge, more experience and more hands on training so that you feel ready and equipped to jump into your new dog grooming career!
This course is 25 days where you will have hands-on training with a minimum of 20 dogs with 6 different coat types.
You can start this course as a complete novice to dog grooming and leave with the confidence and experience to have a strong foundation in your new dog grooming career! This course also includes canine first aid.

About this Course
This course is ideal for those wanting to build a solid foundation in their dog grooming ability and gain experience.
Hand stripping is a skilled grooming technique where the dead coat is removed to allow for new growth, creating a natural looking finish. It is particularly well known as the best grooming method for wire coated dog breeds such as Border Terriers, Westies and Wire Haired Jack Russells but also used in silky coated breed styles such as Cocker Spaniels.
The iPET Network Level 3 Award in Hand Stripping qualification course will take you through the theory of wire and silk coated breeds and different hand stripping methods, techniques and tools to use and their benefits. The qualification also covers the factors that affect Hand Stripping and after Hand Stripping care.
This course is ideal for dog groomers to gain a new skill or pet owners wanting to learn how to correctly handstrip their dog at home.
